Fire Danger and the Bark Beetle

Now here are two hot topics in Pine-Strawberry.

Residents, property owners and anyone else interested are invited to a special meeting and seminar addressing these two important issues.

Running from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday March 1, the seminar will be in the Pine-Strawberry Elementary School Gym, located behind the community center. This community service seminar is sponsored by the Portal I and II Homeowners Associations.

The Gila County Cooperative Extension office, in conjunction with the University of Arizona in Tucson, will provide the program and resources for the meeting.

Christopher Jones will be the spokesperson. Admission is free and there will be a $5 charge for information packets. Don't wait for secondhand information, attend the meeting, bring a neighbor and find out how P-S can best handle this local disaster.
