The Rim country was well represented in the final standings of the AllStar Bass Couples Tournament Feb. 15 at Bartlett Lake.
Pine residents Reese and Shelley Randall were the top guns of the tournament, fishing their way to a first-place finish.
Payson's Emery McKeen and Anita Hall managed a commendable seventh-place showing in the tournament field of 43 teams.
The Randalls weighed-in a six-bass limit that tipped the scales at 10.30 pounds. The victory was worth $1,412 in prize money.
According to AllStar spokesman Harry Morgan, the winning team fished spinnerbaits, crankbaits and plastic worms on river rock piles in muddy water at the mouth of the Verde River.
The team is sponsored by Skeeter Boats, Tempe Marine, Payson Sawcut and Intermountain West Constructors.
The Randalls' victory was by the slimmest of margins. The second-place team, Carolyn and David Baca of Prescott Valley, weighed-in 10.24 pounds to finish only .06 behind the champs.
McKeen and Hall caught 8.01 pounds to earn $375 in prize money.
The big fish of the tournament, a 4.29-pound largemouth, was caught by Amy and Lyle Dalby of Apache Junction.
