Harry F. Conner, 78, died Feb. 23, 2003. He was born Oct. 21, 1924 in Dewey, Okla. He came to the Flagstaff area in 1942.
In 1943, Mr. Conner enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in Burma until 1946.
He then came to Glendale, where he met and married Patricia Sipes in 1946. He worked as a teamster in the Phoenix area. He retired and the couple moved to Payson in the early 1980s, where they ran a laundromat.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel Conner of Buckeye and Shawn Conner (Victoria) of Payson; four grandsons and one granddaughter; brothers, Bill J. Conner of Wichita, Kan. and Don Conner of Glendale; sisters, Wanita Harris of Glendale, Erma Jarnigan of Petaluma, Calif, Evelyn Playford of Oro Valley, Ariz., Bonny Muir of Crestline, Calif. and Ila Riley of Phoenix; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; son, Mike of Payson; father, Harry H. Conner of Dewey, Okla; mother, Eve Sue Laughlin of Glendale; brother, William H. Conner of Wynona, Okla.; sisters, Margery Burchett of Glendale, Barbara Johnson of Troy, Mo. and Flaura Jean Cummings of Phoenix.
