Donald Earl Myers

Donald Earl Myers, 72, died Jan. 5, 2003 in Payson. He was born Oct. 24, 1930 in Canton, Ohio.

Mr. Myers served as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy on the Island of Guam during the Korean War, after which he returned to Phoenix and graduated from Arizona State College.

Mr. Myers did many things in his life. He worked in sales, emergency care and landscaping. He was most recently employed at Mazatzal Casino.

Mr. Myers was a charter member of the Orangewood Athletic Association, and a member of the American Legion Post 69 in Payson. He served as the legion historian, and on the Payson Veterans Memorial Committee.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancylee; sons, Pastor Donald Paul (Joey) Myers of Dover, N.J., David Clark (Karen) Myers and Douglas Earl Myers, both of Mesa; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan 8, 2003 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Jan 9, 2003.
