Phyllis Ann Hocker, 64, of Payson, died Jan. 9, 2003. She was born May 10, 1938 in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. Hocker moved to Arizona in 1968, moving to Payson in 1996.
She worked in the electronics industry at Motorola and Amdahl, much of that time in management. After retiring in the mid-1980s, she volunteered at Scottsdale North Hospital and Payson Regional Medical Center as a hospital auxiliary volunteer in ER and most recently as an officer of the Mogollon Health Alliance.
She was an officer in the Payson American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Donald Hocker; mother, Verla Woolery (Morgan) of Payson; son, Kevin Cunningham; daughter-in-law Betty Cunningham; and grandson, Liam Cunningham, all of Pacific Grove, Calif.; stepson Steven Hocker of Phoenix; sister, Carol Adamson of Sacramento, Calif.; granddaughter Jennifer Johnson of Phoenix; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 12 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
