Nationally recognized, award-winning artist, Rock Newcomb and wife, Cody, his agent/business manager, will conduct a presentation at the Tuesday, Jan. 21 Payson Art League meeting, at St. Philip's Church Hall.
The one-hour program will include marketing techniques, licensing artwork images, selling strategies, self-promotional ideas and photographing your artwork.
Newcomb's artwork was recently featured on the November-January 2003 cover of Daniel Smith's Artist's Material catalog, as well as having his original artwork purchased for the corporate art collection in Seattle.
His prehistoric Native American pottery painting, "Mysterious and Magical," hangs in the corporate collection of Cox Communications in Tulsa. The list of his accomplishments is lengthy.
It all started in southern Idaho where Rock grew up on a farm and developed a love of nature and the environment.
He earned a BA and Master's Degree in Art from California State University, Fullerton, and had been involved in education many years as an instructor. He now conducts private workshops and seminars, and recently was chosen as a demonstration artist for the PBS TV series, "The Artists Workshop."
Please join the Art League for a social reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7 p.m. You do not need to be an Art League member to attend.
