7th Annual Bean-Off
Super Bowl Sunday there will be great bowls of beans in Strawberry.
The Sportsman's Chalet in Strawberry is hosting the seventh annual Bean-Off on Sunday, Jan. 26, Super Bowl Sunday. Competitors must have their crock pots into the local tavern by 2 p.m.
The rules are simple, the crock pot must have pinto beans in it.
Cash prizes will be offered to first, second and third place for taste, originality and appeal. Local residents Diane Skinner and Renee Cole will be the judges.
The traditional "Bean-Go" game will be played for prizes and laughs.
Once the judging is done, everyone gets a taste of the competition. This is another example of a grand local tradition that makes our little town a community. Come on down and enjoy the game, the eats and the camaraderie.
