Payson police officers served a search warrant in Mesa del Caballo last weekend, making one arrest.
The warrant was served at a residence in the 7400 block of North Toya Vista where Randy Zimmer, 18, was arrested.
Lt. Don Engler of the Payson Police Department said Zimmer was arrested for possession and use of marijuana, possession and use of drug paraphernalia and misconduct with a weapon.
Engler said the investigation is continuing and it is likely additional charges will be made against Zimmer and more arrests will take place.
The search warrant was obtained following a two-month investigation, Engler said.
The police department had 12 officers involved in the incident, and they were accompanied by one deputy from the Gila County Sheriff's Department, Engler said.
