The Northern Gila County Sanitary District will be conducting "smoke-testing" of the sewer system in various locations around town during the next few weeks.
The purpose of this testing is to detect defective or non-permitted plumbing which is connected to the district sewer collection system.
The non-toxic smoke which is blown into the main sewer lines should escape through the building vent system, unless there is a plumbing problem.
District crews will be working in the Rim View Heights Estates subdivision, from noon to 3:30 p.m. July 28 through Aug. 1.
For more information, call the sanitary district at 474-5257.
