Star Valley Middle School is a vibrant place. At this stage, students have the ability to make impressive academic progress while learning what it means to contribute to the life of the school. Our rigorous program challenges middle-schoolers, and supports their individual growth academically and socially through a rich and varied curriculum.
List of course work offered at Star Valley Middle School: Math: Corrective Math, Basic Math Skills, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. Language Arts: Basic English Grammar, Basic English Composition, Exploring Literature, American Literature, and World Literature. Science: General Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, and Biology. Social Studies: American History, World History, and World Geography.
The Physical Education program emphasizes the development of social skills, gross and fine motor skills, and the value of sportsmanship with particular emphasis on the interaction among classmates in cooperative and competitive activities.
Classes begin Monday, Aug. 11. We observe all of Payson Unified School District's holidays and vacation days. School enrollment is limited to 35 students with two classrooms. School hours are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday. There is no cost to attend. Teachers, students and parents work closely together.
