Battling in the Payson Men's Golf Association two-man scramble formatted tournament, John Pauley and Jim Colceri played their way to first place with a card of 60.5.
The champs' stiffest competition in the flight was provided by runners-up Mark Revelle and Mike Curtis who finished at 61.1.
In the second flight, Chris Compton and Bob Hendrie hooked up for a tally of 63.4 that earned the team a gold-medal finish. The team of Tony Mularski and Victor Kostecki was in second place with a score of 64.1.
In addition to Mularski's runner-up finish in the second flight, he also pocketed closest-to-the-pin prize money on No. 5 where he swatted to within 4 feet, 10 inches of the flag.
Curtis also was a prize winner with a tee shot that left him 13 feet shy of pin No. 13.
Other closest-to-the-pin champions were Butch Krauss (No. 2, 47 feet), Jack Greenshield (No. 8; 6 feet, 9 inches) and Rick Korth (No. 17; 7 feet, 6 inches).
