Time Out Shelter Holds ‘One Of A Kind Fashion Show'

The Time Out Shelter for victims of domestic violence is having a one of a kind fashion show and luncheon at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at Mad Dawg's & Mel's.

For $15 per person, attendees can enjoy a delicious meal and shop while supporting the shelter. Volunteers will model new and gently used items donated to the Time Out thrift store.

The Time Out Shelter is the only domestic violence shelter within 100 miles of Payson and offers a safe place for women and children fleeing abuse. Shelter staff provides support, counseling and educational classes to residents and others in the community struggling with abuse issues.

The shelter also provides community outreach to educate young people on abuse and has a transitional housing program to facilitate the process for women seeking independence from abusive partners.

A woman is beaten every eight seconds in this country and it is Time Out's mission to help combat domestic violence and offer a safe place to victims.

Come support the shelter. Tickets for the fashion show and luncheon are available at the Time Out thrift store or call 468-1611.
