The youth summer recreation program begins June 9.
As in past years, the town-sponsored program will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, most likely in the Rim Country Middle School gymnasium.
Last year's program was cut short by the Rodeo-Chediski Fire, when the gym was turned into an evacuation center.
At press time, town and the school district had not finalized the RCMS gym as the recreation site. However, RCMS principal Frank Larby said the town was welcome to use the gymnasium as long as it didn't conflict with cleaning and maintenance schedules.
There will be no admission charged for the popular program. It is open to all youngsters entering fifth grade to those who will be seniors in high school.
Activities include foosball, table games, bumper pool, table tennis, kick ball, basketball and more. Brandi Waugh, David Daniels, Lee Ann Owens and Will Dunman are set to supervise this summer.
According to Payson's recreation/sports coordinator Teddy Pettet, a combination of three of the four will usually be on duty to oversee the activities.
