William Lewis Annan, 77, died June 2, 2003, in Payson. He was born Oct. 7, 1925 in Coin, Iowa.
Mr. Annan grew up in Wyoming, and served in the Navy in World War II from 1943-1945. He married Donna Jean Fortkamp on Nov. 4, 1950, and moved to Arizona in 1964. He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service for 25 years, training male youth between the ages of 16 and 22 in vocational training.
Mr. Annan retired Dec. 21, 1989 and moved to Payson.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Annan of Payson; daughters, Sherry Jean Annan of Albuquerque and Deborah Kay Sawyer of Phoenix; son, William Bryan Annan of Boise, Idaho; brother, Keith Annan of Riverton, Wyo.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 9, at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero.
