William Lewis Annan, 77, died June 2, 2003, in Payson. He was born Oct. 7, 1925 in Coin, Iowa.
Mr. Annan grew up in Wyoming, and served in the Navy in World War II from 1943-1945. He married Donna Jean (Fortkamp) Annan on Nov. 4, 1950, and moved to Arizona in 1964.
He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service for 25 years, training male youth aged 16-22 years in vocational training. He retired Dec. 21, 1989 and moved to Payson.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Annan of Payson; daughters, Sherry Jean Annan of Albuquerque and Deborah Kay Sawyer of Phoenix; son, William Bryan Annan of Boise, Idaho; brother, Keith Annan of Riverton, Wyo.; sisters, Geraldine Vermillion of Riverton, Wyo. and Lois Jean Wagner of Riverton, Wyo.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held June 9 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
