Clarence Luther Fought


Clarence Luther Fought, 75, of Payson, died June 22, 2003. He was born April 3, 1928 in San Jon, N.M.

Mr. Fought was a cowboy at heart, a carpenter by trade.

He was in the U.S. Air Force for nine years, and was a Korean War veteran.

Mr. Fought was a member of South Payson congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and a full-time volunteer minister.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fought of Payson; sons, Marshall Fought of San Antonio, Texas, John Fought of Phoenix, and Dale Fought of Buckeye; daughter, Lynn Noack of Clovis, N.M.; sister, Ollie Gant of Clovis, N.M.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1616 N. McLane Road in Payson.

Interment will be in the Village of San Jon Cemetery, San Jon, N.M.
