Payson Hears A Who

Gail Gorry, principal at Frontier Elementary School, dressed as the famous Cat-in-the-Hat character to read Dr. Seuss books to FES students Monday.

Gorry also wore the costume to give a rhyming principle's report to the school board later that evening.

Margaret Jesus, assistant librarian at the Payson Public Library, also dressed as the famous cat during an event held Monday night at the library.

The library was packed with Rim country children who enjoyed Dr. Seuss stories and prizes. The fun was all part of the annual Read Across America Day, a celebration corresponding with author Theodor Geisel's (Dr. Seuss) birthday.

Watch for more photos of the library event in Friday's Roundup.
