Alice "Kaye" Barnes, 65, of Payson, died March 4, 2003. She was born June 16, 1937 in Devil's Slide, Utah.
Mrs. Barnes was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a resident of Tucson for 32 years, and a school teacher at Carden of Tucson for 16 years.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She suffered with Parkinson's Disease for her last 13 years.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by her husband, Richard B. Barnes; sons, Michael H. (Teri) Barnes of Tucson; and Curtis W. Barnes of Houston, Texas; daughters, Karen (Hugh) Schrank of Payson, Angela (Jared) Hopkins of Phoenix and Dianne (Mike) Barnes of Tucson; sister, Mary May Nelson of Cedar City, Utah; and 13 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 911 N. Ponderosa in Payson. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the funeral.
