Senior Citizens Get To Shake A Leg At Senior Prom

All Payson seniors are invited to turn back the clock and kick up their heels at the Spring Fling Senior Prom scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

The formal to semi-formal event, sponsored by Powell House, will be held at the Payson Senior Center, 514 W. Main Street. Live dancing music will be provided by The Jackelbarrys.

"We've got a great band from Phoenix, a dance band that used to be popular in their time," Powell House associate administrator Doreen Mandel said.

Other highlights include the coronation of a king and queen, who will receive a limousine ride home. Local businesses have donated flowers, cakes and decorations.

The Payson Senior Center bus will provide transportation to the prom from Manzanita Manor and Powell House. Payson Care Center will use its own bus to transport its residents.

Powell House is an assisted living facility owned by Assisted Living Concepts (ALC), a Portland, Ore.-based company that has more than 200 facilities in 12 states.
