St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank is preparing for its second annual golf tournament to raise funds to help those in need.
The May 10 benefit at Payson Golf Course will be a "4-person shotgun scramble" with teams balanced according to handicap.
Prizes will be given for such things as a hole in one, three lowest scores and longest drive.
All proceeds from the tournament go to the St. Vincent de Paul food bank which helps about 700 families a month, giving out more than 20,000 pounds of food. The organization also helps other organizations such as the Senior Center, Time Out Shelter, Vets Helping Vets, Payson Community Kids and the Pine food bank.
To register for the tournament, call Richard Roy at 474-9559 or mail registration along with donation of $65 ($45 for Payson Golf Course members) to HC4 Box 3M, Payson, AZ 85541-9571. The deadline for registration is April 22.
