Main Street has moved -- or at least the Main Street office has moved -- to a new location at Green Valley Park.
"We had an increase in rent (at the old location), and we had an opportunity to move into temporary offices the water department had been using," Karen Greenspoon, Main Street project manager, said. "We'll save the program about $8,000 a year, and we end up with more space to hold board meetings and other town meetings."
The new offices are located at 600 S. Green Valley Parkway, in a small house directly north of Rim Country Museum. Payson Regional Economic Development Corporation, which shares office space with the Main Street program, also moved to the new location.
"From my viewpoint, when we have people come down to the Main Street office, they can come all the length of Main Street and come down and see the park and everything that's down in this area," Greenspoon said. "From (PREDC Director) Scott Flake's vantage point, it's a real nice setting to have people in."
Main Street and PREDC offices were previously located at 501C W. Main Street.
