Payson High School student Laci Riggins, 14, and her dog-like pet goat, April, take a lunch break during the Visiting Barnyard program, an annual event staged at Payson Elementary School by Wendell Stevens' agriculture education students.

Stevens says young people today have fewer opportunities to interact with animals as Payson becomes more urbanized.
