Take A Lesson On Flag Etiquette

Editor:

I was glad to see the article April 25 on flag etiquette and wonder how many people really read the answers concerning flag etiquette.

I am especially commenting on answer # 21: "The flag should not be flown when tattered and torn, dirty, significantly faded, or when it is no longer a fitting emblem for display." I am amazed at the condition of some flags I see.

We have had a flag (nylon) purchased at Wal-Mart 4 years ago. It is still in excellent condition and flys on a daily basis, weather permitting. If your going to fly our flag, please show respect for it.
