Let Leaders Know What We Want

In recent papers, you have printed letters about the need to pay attention to what our senators and congressmen are doing now that the war coverage is not the only thing in the news. Your letter writers advised us to call, fax or e-mail those who represent us and then tell them we want the tax cuts President Bush has asked for.

Today on the news, I heard the president make a direct request to them. He said he did not want a little bitty tax package. He said he wanted robust tax cuts. I agree with the ones who wrote letters before me and, now that I heard the president, I know we better let them know how we feel, or we'll end up with just more talk and no real tax cuts.
