Accompanied by her father Roy, freshman Rebekah Sandoval sings an emotional rendition of the Martina McBride song "Concrete Angel" at the Payson High School Spring Concert Thursday.
Sandoval recently received a $1,000 scholarship from the Payson Choral Society. She participated in a vocal competition last month that also was an audition for the scholarship. She intends to use the money to fund an upcoming NAU music camp, additional vocal training and violin lessons.
Rebekah hopes to perform professionally in the future.
