I was stuck in Phoenix due to the explosion on Highway 87, and could not get home to my animals for the night.
One of my dogs got out of the fence, and Mike Spaulding, of Gila County Animal Control, was called to my property in Wonder Valley. When he arrived, he left a note saying "It looks as though you are out of town."
His "animal instincts" were right. Mike was so kind. He gave my dogs food and water, and made sure they were secured safely in my yard for the night. It's a good feeling to know the county employs those who really have the animals' best interests at heart. Thank you.
