What's Up?

Q: Is it true that airplanes are not allowed to fly over Chaparral Pines or The Rim Club?

A: Not true says Payson Municipal Airport Manager Ted Anderson.

"There's nothing in published charts that identifies that as restricted airspace," Anderson said. "In the town of Payson if they're at an altitude of at least 1,000 feet, they can fly anywhere."

Q: The story on Tina Crabdree being named Teacher of the Year by the Arizona Federation of Republican Women left something out. Which Republican women's group sponsored her?

A: Yes, we accidentally left the name of the group out of the story, and we have been properly chastised. Crabdree was sponsored by the Mogollon Republican Women's Club, whose president is Connie Bullock.

The other group, the Northern Gila County Republican Women, sponsored another candidate.

Bullock says that her group will continue to back Crabdree in the national competition that follows.
