Rim country Little League action has been fast and furious since the 2003 campaign began during opening day ceremonies April 26.
More than 200 youngsters are currently participating in one of four age/experience divisions the league offers.
The AAA division for the youngest players features six teams playing games Monday through Thursday afternoons on the Rumsey 1 and 3 fields.
The Minor Division hosts five teams that play weekdays also at Rumsey 1 and 3.
Currently six teams comprise the Major Division that schedules all its games on Rumsey 1.
The five-team Senior Division, for teenage players, didn't get started until May 5 due to the extended season of the inaugural Rim Country Middle School baseball team. The seniors currently play weekday games on the Payson High School field.
Action in the AAA, Minor and Major leagues will continue until June 20. All-Star teams will be selected by coaches to represent the Rim country in postseason play.
Payson is not slated to host any Little League Area or District tournaments this summer.
Due to the seniors late start, play won't wrap up until June 26.
