Lula Mae Maxim, 85, of Payson, died Nov. 5, 2003. She was born March 25, 1918 in Muldrow, Okla.
Mrs. Maxim resided in Payson for 17 years, where her husband built their home in 1986 and retired there from Inglewood, Calif.
She was a wonderful mother and wife, and loved to cook. She was a great grandmother and very proud of her grandchildren.
She always said she hoped to live long enough to see her granddaughter go to school. Her granddaughter, Candace, is a freshman at Thousand Oaks High School in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She loved her grandson, Dustin, and loved to call him her "Little Rascal."
Mrs. Maxim loved life; she loved people and helping them out; she loved going to church; and she loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who she is now with.
She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, John Maxim; daughter, Patricia Queen-Ruby and son-in-law, Anthony Allen Ruby; son, Robert Young; grandchildren, Candace Nicole Queen, Dustin Thomas Queen, Robert Young, Jr., Michael Young, Susan and Cynthia; sister, Billie Fagerlie and brother-in-law, Emery Fagerlie; nieces, Sharon Lewis and Caren Fagerlie; nephews, Craig Fagerlie, Seth Fagerlie and Carl Fagerlie; great-nieces: Lorie Fagerlie, Kashia Lewis and Madison Fagerlie; great-nephews, Shawn Fagerlie, Chris Fagerlie and Brendan Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10 at Calvary Chapel, 1103 N. Beeline Highway in Payson. Interment will be at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park.
