Q: Do the employees at the library do their own janitorial work, while other town departments are served by a janitorial service?
A: Terry Morris, director of the Payson Public Library, said the staff is doing the janitorial work on a temporary basis. The library's cleaning service quit in September and Morris took a poll of the staff to see if they wanted to bring in temporary help until a new contract could be awarded or take care of things themselves in the interim. The staff opted to do the cleaning until the town can solicit bids from cleaning companies and award a new contract.
