Tempe Firefighter Earl Randleman died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at his family cabin in Mead's Ranch near Payson. The family has been coming to the area since 1959.
Mr. Randleman was a Tempe Firefighter for 23 years, obtaining the rank of Firefighter/ Engineer.
He was born May 28, 1954 in Mesa and grew up in Tempe and graduated from Tempe High School in 1972.
He was an Eagle Scout, an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a member of the International Association of Firefighters, Local 493, the Masonic Lodge Thunderbird No.15 and the director of staff at El Zaribah Shrine.
Mr. Randleman is survived by his wife of 13 years, Laura; two daughters, Amanda, 12, and Joscelyn, 9. Also surviving are his parents, Ron and Aileen, and brothers Eddie and Charles, all of Tempe.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Church on Mill located at 1300 S. Mill Avenue in Tempe.
Mr. Randleman's family friends and the members of the Tempe Fire Department will greatly miss him.
