Many Helped Make Piano Concert A Hit

We were coordinators for the piano concert by Sam Rotman in Payson last August. There were many people who worked behind the scenes to make it such a wonderful success, and we would like to recognize some of them.

Our thanks to Pastor Mark of the First Southern Baptist Church, who steered our request for a location through the approval committees of his church, and members of his staff, who were busy in many areas, to make the concert such an outstanding event. In particular were Greg, the music director, who monitored the PA system (which worked flawlessly), and Marie, the church secretary, who designed and supplied the fliers which we handed out to many appropriate businesses.

Thanks also to Reinie and Priscilla who opened their home Friday evening, and overnight until concert time, to the Rotman family: Sam, Deborah (who has been with him for many of his concerts), and Sarah (daughter, just returned from two years in Western Africa as Peace Corps worker).

Thanks to Kelly at the Roundup for putting several items in the paper announcing the concert; to John at KRIM for the telephone interview of Sam on Thursday morning before the concert; to the many businesses along the Beeline and Highway 260 for displaying the flier announcing the concert; to Marsha at the Senior Center for posting fliers on her several bulletin boards, and permitting us to make several announcements about the concert; and to the many churches in Payson who received our fliers with a positive reaction.

To those of you who missed the concert this year, take heart. We have scheduled Sam for a concert Aug. 8, 2004. We'll see you then.
