The Ladies 5th Annual retreat was held last Wednesday at the Christopher Creek Bible Fellowship Chapel. Thirty women showed up for a day of fellowship and learning on what it takes to be women of faith. This 2003 Women's retreat was about "Women Following Their Faithful God".
They ranged from 7-months to 84-years-old. Susan Hepworth led everyone in prayer.
Special thanks to Pat Guevara and Bianca Malmin for setting up this event, and for the lovely decorations and gift bags for all the ladies. Ella Slaughter provided the music with her wonderful voice. Pat McCollum and Betty Star handled registration. Holly Hinkle greeted everyone as they entered the chapel, and Teresa Purtee was the teacher. She is very gifted in this area and not only makes the women understand the Word of God, but her teaching makes you want to learn more.
Donna Adams also taught, and provided a wonderful testimony. She is a very inspirational lady and has a lot of wisdom to offer. Donna just turned 84 and hasn't slowed down from teaching even though she has a hard time seeing. The Lord guides her eyes and she continues to spread his word.
We even got to take a break and go for a walk down Apple Lane with the leaves blowing all around us. It was a perfect day. Everyone can't wait till the next one.
