Most of the issues on Thursday's agenda of the Payson Town Council meeting involve amending the Unified Development Code for growth-related purposes.
The amendments specifically are for: a new subdivision between South Lakeview Drive and proposed South Green Valley Parkway, called Paradise Heights; to loosen open space and parking restrictions in the Green Valley redevelopment area; and the placement of telecommunications towers.
The regular agenda items not related to the UDC include a resolution supporting the renewal of the Gila County Enterprise Zone for a term of five years; a request filed by Public Works Engineer LaRon Garrett to award the Roundup Water Line Extension to CJ Excavating for an amount of $53,056; and a request by Airport Manager Ted Anderson to allow him to submit an update of the Five-Year Airport Capital Improvement Program of the airport to the FAA and ADOT.
Meetings of the Town Council are every other Thursday night at 6 p.m. in council chambers at town hall. They are open to the public.
All consent items are considered routine in nature and will be enacted by one motion. There is no separate discussion of the items unless a council member or member of the public makes a request.
- A resolution to approve the annexation of additional territory into the Northern Gila County Sanitary District.
- A resolution authorizing Columbus Bank and Trust Company of Georgia, to act as depository for funds administered by AFLAC for employee medical expenses.
