Levi Garrett Windle, 24, died Oct. 18, 2003. He was born Oct. 6, 1979 in Sheridan, Wyo. to Steve and Gayle (Hampton) Windle.
He moved with his parents and brother, Brody, to Leander, Texas in 1986.
He attended Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas where he soon became a true devoted "Aggie."
Mr. Windle was pro-tradition, fiercely loyal, and greatly loved by his fellow "Aggies." He loved BTHOB and what it represented. He was instrumental in continuing the tradition of Bonfire.
He loved to work and play on his grandparents farm near Dodge City, Kan., where he visited every chance he got. He entertained and teased his cousins and family with comical stories and pranks. The farm experience led him to choose agricultural education as his major.
Mr. Windle was a dynamic leader and mentor. He loved life and lived every minute to the fullest.
His unique magnetism made him a role model for his fellow "Aggies," his family, and anyone who crossed his path.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Shiloh.
In addition to his parents and brother he is survived by his faithful beloved canine "Captain Gingersnap" (Cappy); grandparents, Clarence and Phyliss Windle of Payson, formerly of Dodge City and Liberal, Kan., and Marvin and Floris Jean Hampton of Dodge City, Kan.; many aunts, uncles, cousins and innumerable friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan, Texas.
