How sad -- only 35 percent turnout for the bond election! And we didn't even have to go to the polling places to vote -- we were too lazy to drop the ballot in the mail.
The "head-in-the-sand" retiree group will always make the effort to vote against any form of progress because they don't want to spend a dime to support the community. They've already done that, you see. That means that the majority of our citizenry just didn't care enough to stand up and be counted.
Now we are destined to repeat the errors made by Prescott 10 years ago of not providing the infrastructure to support the growth that is occurring. It will cost us more in the future than it would have cost us today. How sad.
