Hooliganism Not Part Of Lahaye's Makeup

During the nine years I lived and worked in Payson I came to know Ray LaHaye, not as a close friend or crony, but as a member of the community with whom I worked on civic and other events. He became a person for whom I developed considerable respect as a public servant and a decent human being. When I read about the ball game donnybrook my immediate reaction was, "whatever unpleasantness took place, Ray could not have initiated it." That kind of hooliganism is simply not part of his makeup.
