The Pine/Strawberry Arts and Crafts guild is having its first ever Arts and Crafts clearance sale starting at 8 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20. There will be a wonderful selection, all under the ramada, at the Pine Community Center. Do not miss it.
The Pine Art Walk, "Celebration of Art" is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., this Saturday. Balloons will mark participating businesses along Highway 87. Gather your neighbors and friends and wander through the shops to see a wonderful assortment of great art. This event is sponsored by Coldwell Banker Bishop Realty. Make a night of it.
Remember that the story hour is at 10 a.m., every Wednesday at the Pine library. Preschool children and home-schooled children under 8 are welcome.
The weekend of Oct 11 and 12 will be a busy one in Pine and Strawberry. The Historical Society will host the antique show and auction with the ever-famous appraisal clinic starring Harry Rinker of television fame.
Following a fall festival theme, there will be a silent auction, antiques and arts and crafts for sale, live music and a classic car show, all at the Pine Community Center. There will be a barbecue Saturday at noon and the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce will sell fall desserts and apple cider.
In Strawberry that same weekend, Strawberry Market will have Fossil Creek Days with crafters, good food and some great fun.
Nov. 22 --elebration, a celebration of story telling at the Pine Cultural Hall. Last year, there was standing room only and not much of that. This is an event for the whole family. Wonderful, entertaining and amazing.
Dec. 6 --he Christmas Tree auction and family fun night at the Pine Cultural Hall. Besides the wonderfully decorated trees to be auctioned, there will be music, refreshments, fun and Santa Claus. Watch for more details.
Dec. 12 -- The residential Christmas lighting contest judging. You have lots of time to plan your display.
These events seem like a long way off now, but time does have a way of flying.
