To the people of Payson:
On March 11, 2004, we became stranded in your town due to car problems. We were guided to Chapman Auto Center, which informed us that the part had to be ordered from Michigan. Come to find out, it would not be in until Monday. This meant five days in your town, knowing no one and wondering what to do.
We would like to say that the people of Payson are most gracious and concerned.
We would like to say a special thank you to Deon, Vern and Mike at Chapman; the people at the American Legion for that wonderful fish supper and their hospitality; the lady who, not even knowing us, offered us a room at her house; Best Western Motel for their fine motel and rates.
You all made us most welcome, and we were never at a loss for something to do.
Be proud of your city. We are.
Joe and Audrey Jordan, Sterling, Colo.
