Easter Egg Hunt This Saturday

Easter greetings to all. Let's hope it is a beautiful day, although we must welcome rain whenever it comes our way.
The Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Rim Country Kiwanis was postponed last Saturday due to rainy and cold weather. It has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10 at the Pine Trailhead. Bring a basket or bag for the eggs. There are prizes and various age categories. Bring the children for a fun event. It might just be a bit muddy, so fancy Easter clothes might not be appropriate.

Children's Yoga at Looking Glass Books and Gifts will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10.

Christopher McManus wheeled his way to victory in the Pine-Strawberry Pinewood Derby March 18. McManus will now compete in the area tournament April 17 in Payson.

Get on board

The board of directors of the Pine Medical Clinic has three openings, each for a three-year term, beginning July 2004. Duties include attending monthly meetings, (at 5 p.m., the third Monday of the month) and other activities needed to assist in ensuring that the clinic is able to operate and provide needed services to the community.

Board members should be residents of Pine or Strawberry with an interest in helping the clinic serve the needs of the community. If interested, contact Linda Coglan, board president, at (928) 970-1086, if possible before the April 19 meeting.

The ballots will be sent out in May.

The clinic serves a great need in our communities. This is a great volunteer opportunity.

On the road again

The dedication of the new Fossil Creek Road will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 15 at the Strawberry Schoolhouse. Dignitaries will be present so it would be great to have a nice turnout. The school will be open during the event and refreshments will be served.
Derby day

Chris McManus won first place in the Pine-Strawberry Pinewood Derby Race on March 18. Chris will now compete in the area tournament on April 17 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Payson.

Chris won first place last year in both the Pine and Payson races and did very well at the state level in Phoenix.

Congratulations, Christopher, and continued good luck.
