If It's A Jungle Out There, Join The Business Safari

Some say it is a jungle out there in the business world. Owners and operators of Rim country businesses are prepared to guide you through that jungle at the Business Safari, the 12th annual Business Showcase, next weekend.

The showcase is presented by APS and the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, under the big top at the Rim Country Mall parking lot. Rim country business experts from at least 84 companies and nonprofit corporations will be on hand to talk about the goods and services.

There will be free take-home materials provided, along with prizes and fun. Food will be available for sale and some of the nonprofits will have T-shirts and other mementos available.

"Visitors to the showcase will have a chance to select the awards for Best Outside Booth and the People's Choice," Judy Smith said. Smith is coordinating this year's showcase.

In addition to APS and the chamber, the showcase is brought to the community by patron sponsors Compass Bank, the Tonto Apache Tribe, Mazatzal Casino, Weather Masters and the town of Payson; contributing sponsors Corral West Ranchwear, Cruise Port Travel, ERA Real Estate, Messinger Mortuaries and Chapels, Payson Care Center, Payson Regional Medical Center, PostNet Postal & Business Services and The Stockmen's Bank; and friends of the showcase sponsors Ace Hardware & Nursery, Coldwell Banker Bishop Realty, Energy West, Four Seasons Motorsports, Husky Fire & Safety, Inc., M&T Mortgage Corporation, the Payson Roundup, and Rim Country Lanes.

The event is free to the public, Saturday, April 24, beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. Emergency and classic vehicles will be on display at the showcase as well.

The Rim Country Mall is at 400 East Highway 260. Smith said there are three booth spaces still available inside the tent. The deadline to register to participate is noon, Tuesday, April 20.
