Celebrating Cinco De Mayo

Honoring a tradition with festivities


The Payson Public Library's celebration of Cinco de Mayo will include a variety of festivities and fun.

There will be Mexican craft projects to make and take home, kid's games and craft projects, and take-home authentic Mexican recipes. Participants can also taste test a variety of Mexican salsas and drinks donated by local restaurants. There will be tacos, tostadas, and burros, for only $2 each. There will be hourly Cinco de Mayo door prizes and a piñata for the children.

Residents can still enter to win the spectacular Cinco de Mayo basket. Raffle tickets are $1 each, or six for $5.

Tickets for are on sale now. Adults are $5 each, Children 6 years and older $2.50. At the door prices: adults, $7 and children $3.50.
