The PWGA Nine Hole group held their monthly meeting July 29 at Crosswinds restaurant to announce the month's tournament winners.
In a "three worst holes to par" formatted tournament played the day of the meeting, Dorothy Hardman took first place. Isabella Sockrider and Doris Lemmage tied for second. Mary Nolan and Joan Johnson tied for third.
Lady Niner Ardie Poole explained the unusual tournament format as one in which "we could change the scores on our three worst holes to a par score."
In a low-net tournament July 22, Hardman claimed first and Lemmage and Johnson tied for runner-up honors.
A week prior, another low-net tournament was contested in which Sockrider took first, Johnson was second and Connie Gyde claimed third.
On July 8, in a "best six holes" links skirmish, Norma Fallers and Joanne Kirchgassner tied for the gold medal. Johnson and Gyde finished in a dead heat in the race for second place. Lemmage claimed third.
In the first tournament of the month, July 1, in a two-person, best-ball format, Johnson and Hardman team up for first place, Kirchgassner and Julie Lynch were second. In third place was the team of Fallers and Gyde.
Next up for the Lady Niners is the presidents Club that began Thursday on the front nine at PGC and will wrap up Aug. 12 on the back nine. Fallers will serve as tournament director.
