Carl R. Lundblad, Sr., 86, of Payson, died Aug. 12, 2004 in Payson. He was born June 29, 1918 in Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Lundblad was a combat veteran of World War II, serving in North Africa, Sicily and Italy, surviving three landings and six battles. He began his business career as a reporter for Dun and Bradstreet and went on to become an executive with Commercial Credit Equipment Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland. He retired in 1982 and has lived in Payson since 1998.

Mr. Lundblad is survived by Patricia, his wife of 55 years; son, Carl, Jr.; and three grandchildren: Dana, C.J. and Matti.

No local services are planned. Family will receive friends at the home, 1107 S. Elk Ridge Point in Payson, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004.
