Haapala Is A Caring Man

Editor:

I stayed two years at the Rye Trailer Park. I have macular degeneration and can barely see my feet. To eat my evening meal, I had to walk up to the steak house. The entrance was full of broken boards. Invariably, I would trip. I had some bad falls. Don Garvin would send for a man who lived in the apartment over the steak house and a large man would lift me up, carry me inside and bring his first aid kit and care for my many wounds. His kindness, caring and concern so impressed me.

I have since learned that my admired friend is Dan Haapala, and that he has entered the race for county supervisor. I know that he will extend his kindness and caring and devote his concerns to the people of Gila County.
