Convicted drug dealer Anthony Deck, 39, was sentenced to 14 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections Tuesday.
A jury found Deck guilty in May of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
Payson Police Lt. Don Engler said officers spent two months investigating Deck before serving a search warrant in January 2002.
"We recovered more than 51 grams of methamphetamine and 338 grams of marijuana," Engler said. "He also had a gun on him when we made entry."
"It took two and a half years, but we got one of the major drug dealers convicted," Engler said.
Deck was sentenced to 14 years for possession of methamphetamine for sale, five years for possession of marijuana for sale, two years for possession of drug paraphernalia and 4.5 years for the weapons offense. The sentences will run concurrently, Gila County Attorney Daisy Flores said.
