Detailing Protects Car Against Winter Elements

Ready for the holidays and winter driving conditions, All About Detailing is prepared to help Rim country residents get their vehicles in shape for rough weather driving conditions.

"We decided to open an auto detailing business full time because we noticed a lack of this service in the Rim country," said Rob Robichaud, who owns and operates the company with his son, Joe.

Rob and Joe Robichaud of All About Detailing will provide by hand washing and hand waxing, plus more, to protect vehicles from the elements and road conditions in the Rim country.

The father-and-son team originally opened in early September, using the name Rust Free Rides, but have just recently changed to All About Detailing.

The family has made their home in Payson for three years and Joe graduated from Payson High School this year.

Rob brings about 20 years of detailing experience to the business. He provided detailing services for a large car dealership in Jefferson City, Mo. and owned a similar business in Carthage, Mo.

"We know the products and what they will and won't do to your car," Rob said.

He said that not one kind of detailing is right for every vehicle,

"Every car has different needs," he said.

They will come to a client's home and do a free estimate. They also will provide free pick up and delivery within a 10-mile radius of Payson. If the client is interested, a regular detailing maintenance schedule will be created for the vehicle by the Robichauds.

"Autos are the second largest investment a person makes," Rob said. "Engines are built to last 100,000 miles. We're focusing on protecting that investment."

All About Detailing offers a full line of services: hand washing, waxing, buffing, engine cleaning, vacuuming, shampooing and windows. They will clean anything: cars, pickups, sports utility vehicles, motorcycles, motorhomes and boats.

"Paint finishes present the biggest problem for vehicles in the area," Rob said. Coming from the Midwest, he said it has been a challenge to address the different environmental factors that can damage the looks of a vehicle.

"But we enjoy helping people take care of their cars properly and seeing the difference the detailing makes," Rob said.

"People are always saying their car didn't look ‘this good' when they first bought it," Joe said. "Seeing the before and after and educating people is the best part of the business."

Joe and Rob can give an estimate on the work needed the same day a client calls. It will then take a couple of days to get the job on the schedule, but it only takes a half day to get the work done.

The company is licensed and insured, Rob said.
