Today as I sit here in my warm house, it's early in the morning and about 20 degrees outside. I know all of my dogs are resting, comfy on their blankets in their heated doggie dorm.
I can't help but think of all the chained, or penned, dogs out there. Many don't even have a house, let alone a blanket or even some straw they can rest on.
If you know one of these dogs, I hope you will take a moment to think of them and know there is something you can do to make its life better.
If you need some ideas or encouragement, there is a website called "Dogs Deserve Better." (www.dogsdeservebetter.org.) I've found most people are willing to let you help, if you just try politely.
I hope that you will do something to make life a little better for these creatures. And, it will make you feel good, too.
