Light Parade Tonight


The annual holiday celebration and Main Street/APS Electric Light Parade will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.

This year, the parade will go from east to west, assembling near the back of Sawmill Crossing and up Meadow Street.

Following the parade, the official tree lighting and fireworks will be held at Green Valley Park.

In conjunction with the parade, there will also be an Arts and Crafts Fair Dec. 4 and 5. To arrange for booth or vendor space at the arts and crafts fair, or at the parade, to adopt a port-a pottie, or for more information, contact the Main Street Office at (928) 468-6074.

Pictures with Santa

Payson Parks and Recreation's annual holiday celebration with Santa will be Saturday, Dec. 4 at Julia Randall School's cafeteria.

Children 12 and under may get a free Polaroid photo taken with Santa from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Doors will close at 5 p.m. in order to allow every child in line to sit on Santa's knee before the Electric Light Parade begins).

There will also be a drawing for free prizes for all kids 12 and under who have their picture taken with Santa. The Knights of Columbus will provide free hot dogs, hot chocolate and cookies.
