William B. Palmer, 78, of Payson, died Dec. 18, 2004. He was born Jan. 25, 1926 in Sharon, Conn.
He was raised in Dover Plains, N.Y. on a large dairy farm.
He was a graduate of Syracuse University in New York.
He was in the United States Army and spent one year in the horse calvary and two years in the 11th Airborne Division.
He lived in New York, Maryland and on the north and south shores of Boston.
He retired to Arizona in 1993 to the Kohl's Ranch area.
Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Terrell Palmer of Payson; daughters, Laura Ford of Melrose, Mass., Deborah Brooks of Hood River, Ore., Diane (Tom) Mullaly of Payson, and Melissa Palmer of Corte Madera, Calif.; eight step-children; sisters, Ruth Miller of New York and Betty Devel of New York; brother, Arthur G. Palmer, Jr. of Cambridge, N.Y.; grandchildren, Alyson Hart of Lynn, Mass., Brendon Ford of Lynn, Mass., Amra Brooks of Los Angeles, Calif., Jennifer Highstreet of Mesa, Ariz., and Nicole Mullaly of Payson; a great-grandchild, Richard Ford of Lynn, Mass.; and numerous step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Smith; wives, Lyda Taylor-Palmer and Nancy Andrus-Palmer; and three sisters, Doris, Margaret and Virginia.
A private celebration of life will be held by family and friends. Private services will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
